Dental Care and Cleanings – Dental disease is a serious issue for dogs and is often associated with serious medical issues like heart disease and kidney failure.
Dogsville hosts anesthesia-free dental cleaning clinics 3 – 4 times a year; services provided by K9 Gentle Dental.
The Importance of Having a Social Dog – Why do we socialize our dogs? The answer is quite simple – because we want happy, friendly, confident dogs.
They learn to know their place in the pack, understand respect for other dogs and understand boundaries. Dogs learn from each other how to play and run together, read other dogs’ energy and behave and response in a way that keeps them safe.
Other responsibilities that come with having a social dog is ensuring they are up-to-date with their shots including kennel cough. Regular grooming helps to keep on top of ailments such as lice, fleas and ticks. As the population of social dogs increases so does the number of dogs affected by these ailments.
Anal Glands Expressing – In Alberta it is considered a veterinary practice only.
